ICN Health Policy Summit 2017

19 September 2017, Philadelphia, USA

The Health Policy Summit was the first of its kind held by ICN and designed to focus on topics of particular relevance to global health and inform ICN action.

For the duration of one day, the event gathered a selected group of policy experts chosen (invitation only) for their particular knowledge of this year’s central theme,

“What is nursing’s role/responsibility in human rights and humanitarian crises?”  and offered a platform to exchange and generate the basis for effective implementation frameworks.

The inaugural Health Policy Summit was held in Philadelphia, USA, and attended by nurse and non-nurse experts focusing on areas of global health concern:

1.    Ageing

2.    Mental Health

3.    Migrants, Refugees and Displaced Persons

4.    Health Effects of Climate Change
